 Alexandra Hospital (AH) began as a military hospital in 1938 and was restructured in 2000. Today, it is a 400-bed acute care general hospital offering patient-centred and personalised care.
AH's care philosophy is to make its services more comprehensive and convenient for patients. Its holistic approach to healing stems from the belief that when patients' needs are addressed, they recover faster and better.
AH's focus is not only to heal the sick but also to help people maintain good health by public education and health screening programmes. AH runs a Health for Life Centre, weight management clinics as well as specialist clinics in the different disciplines. The hospital achieved Joint Commission International accreditation in 2005.
